We carried out maintenance painting on the Lovell Radio Telescope at the Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire. The work was carried out at over 90m above the ground while our IRATA trained operatives were suspended from harnesses from the telescope working on the dish’s support structure.
We chemically cleaned the steel supports and the internal area of the dish before repainting commenced.
The pictures which can be seen here are featured in an article which was published in the ‘Independent’ Newspaper.
