TI Protective Coatings specialise in the refurbishment of the nation’s transport infrastructure; the broad scope of our projects often sees us delivering the structural refurbishment of Masonry/Brickworks areas through reconstructive stone repairs, historic & listed building conservation & concrete restoration.

A range of safe, efficient, cost effective and environmentally friendly products have been designed to restore structures & materials, wipe out existing graffiti and protect surfaces from future attacks.

TI Protective Coatings are able to offer a consistently high standard of cleaning services across a wide range of techniques including:

·         JOS (Swirling vortex system cleaning Torc system)
·         DOFF (High pressure steam cleaning)
·         Graffiti removal
·         Paint removal
·         Chemical cleaning

Masonry/Stonework often requires cleaning in order to adequately identify concealed defects.  Once diagnosed, various methods can be adopted depending upon the type of stone/masonry and the extent of the decay.
TI Protective Coatings are able to remove redundant/damaged Brickwork, Masonry and Concrete by Hand Preparation, Mechanical Tools and the use of Hydro-Demolition equipment. We have a number of Supervisors and Operatives trained and certified in the use of UHP Water Jetting machines used in the Hydro-demolition process.
A defective area of masonry can be cut out and repaired using restoration mortar. New pieces of masonry can be indented into an existing structure to replace defective areas of stonework.
Areas of unstable or loose stonework can be consolidated using grouting or pinning techniques.  Grout is pumped into the unstable masonry structure to bind the masonry together while producing what is in effect an invisible repair.  Pinning can be used to fix loose pieces of masonry to the main structure and improve the stability of the substrate.  Stainless steel dowels are drilled into the stonework and fixed in place with epoxy resign.

TI Protective Coatings have successfully completed various stonework repair works in a Principal Contractors Capacity; having both undertaken the works in-house and also having managed sub-contractors to undertake the works.
